Abstract

The aim of the study is to identify the effect of resistance training in improving the speed-specific strength of the youth judo team players. The study sample consisted of (10) youth players registered with the General Judo Federation in the 2024/2025 sports season. They were chosen intentionally and their ages were under (21) years. The researchers used the experimental method, using the pre- and post-measurement method for one experimental group, in order to suit the nature of the study. The aim of the study is to identify the effect of resistance training in improving the speed-specific strength of the youth judo team players. The study sample consisted of (10) youth players registered with the General Judo Federation in the 2024/2025 sports season. They were chosen intentionally and their ages were under (21) years. The researchers used the experimental method, using the pre- and post-measurement method for one experimental group, in order to suit the nature of the study.The researchers recommended that coaches in general, and judo coaches in particular, be made aware of the need to diversify the use of resistance training, given its positive impact on the level of strength, speed, and athletic achievement of young people.
